Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say they tracked a vehicle suspected of being used in burglaries at storage units to a Cortlandville man.

Deputies were called to the storage facility at Starr Road and Glenwood Avenue August 1 with a report that units were broken into between July 30 and the 1st.

Authorities developed information on a suspect vehicle and within a couple hours, an officer, who was investigating a separate incident in the area of Kingsley Avenue, located a vehicle matching the description at a trailer at the C&H Trailer Park.

29 year old Ryan Manwaring, who owns the truck, admitted breaking into storage units.

Several of the stolen items, including hand tools and hardware were found in Manwaring’s trailer.

He was charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief and petit larceny and sent to the Cortland County Jail on one thousand dollars bail.

Authorities say the investigation is continuing and more charges are possible.
