A Cortland County man will not strike a deal with prosecutors in his vehicular homicide case.

42 year old Christopher Tanner is accused of driving with a blood alcohol content at almost three times the legal limit when his vehicle crashed, head-on into a motorcycle ridden by 49 year old Shanon Nasoni at around 5:30 p.m. July 11.

The Johnson City High School graduate and mother of two died at Upstate University Medical Center in Syracuse in.

Tanner appeared in Cortland County Court April 8 and rejected a plea offer.

Tanner is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and traffic violations.

The vehicular homicide charge carried a possible maximum of 25 years to life in prison.

Tanner, at his request, is to be granted a new court-appointed attorney.
