A Cortland man is admitting he caused the death of a 49 year old Endicott woman who was riding her motorcycle on Route 11 in Marathon July 11, 2015.

43 year old Christopher Tanner pleaded guilty to felony vehicular manslaughter in the death of Shanon Nasoni.

Tanner’s blood alcohol content had been measured at .21%.

He is to spend up to nine years in jail.

The woman was riding in Cortland County at around 5:30 p.m. when she was hit by the Honda Accord driven by Tanner.  She was pronounced dead at Upstate University Medical Center in Syracuse.

If he had been convicted in a jury trial, Tanner could have faced 15 years in prison.
