Cortland Man Charged With Rape

A Cortland County man is accused of holding a woman against her will and raping her.

Sheriff’s officials say 20 year old Cyler Marquis of Cortland is charged with felony counts of rape and aggravated sexual abuse as well as misdemeanor forcible touching and unlawful imprisonment in connection with the incident that reportedly happened February 20.

He was arrested after being stopped by a deputy on McLean Road at around 3:45 p.m. March 4.

Marquis was jailed on $25,000 bail.
