Cortland Economy Paving Worker is Killed in Steuben County

A worker with a Cortland construction company is dead following an accident in the Village of Hammondsport.

New York State Police say Sharon Biesecker, who was employed by Economy Paving in Cortland, was found dead in a construction zone on Main Street in the Steuben County village. 

The investigation is on-going and no other information concerning the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death have been made available.

Troopers have been assisted in the investigation by the Hammondsport police and officials with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
