Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say they have gotten the final suspect in a sweeping narcotics investigation that spanned years and hundreds of miles.

Authorities say August 1 they got word from the New York City Police that they had arrested 33 year old Kamar Davidson the previous day on a misdemeanor marijuana count, but it was under a different name.

Their investigation turned up his true identity and that he was wanted in Cortland County.

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say their drug investigation that spread from central New York to Buffalo, Watertown, New Jersey and Puerto Rico started in 2012 resulting in the arrests of 38 of the 39 defendants, until the call came from the NYPD.

With this latest arrest, Davidson completes the list at number 39.

He’s charged with three felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was sent to the Cortland County Jail after deputies fetched him from Brooklyn.
