A Conklin man is facing a litany of charges following a vehicle pursuit, two crashes, a foot chase and search of his vehicle and home conducted by the New York State Police.

36 year old Jason Carl is charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and tampering with evidence as well as misdemeanor fleeing a police officer, resisting arrest and traffic tickets after he failed to stop his vehicle on Conklin Forks Road shortly after 2 p.m. December 4.

Authorities say Carl caused two collisions involving an unmarked State Police vehicle and then tried to flee on foot before he was apprehended.

Authorities say they found six ounces of cocaine, eight grams of heroin and eight ounces of marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia and over $2,500 in their search.  Troopers say the cocaine had a street value of about $16,000 and the heroin street value was put at around $4,800.

Carl has been sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
