Conklin Man Accused of Stealing Car

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say they arrested a Conklin man after a woman reported he took her car keys out of a coat pocket while she slept, took her car without permission and refused to give it back after she called him several times.

27 year old Luke Silver was found with the vehicle in a used car lot on East Main Street in Endwell.

He’s charged with felony grand larceny.  He’s also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after authorities say they found him in possession of methamphetamine.

Silver was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
