Fair committee president Bill Kraswosky said the festivities got under way with a parade.

The fair opening ceremonies featured Louie G of TownSquare Binghamton's Wild 104 radio with a trumpet performance of the National Anthem.

This year's is dedicated to the memory of long-time coordinator Paul Preston, who died in May.
