A Clinton Street building, that has been the scene of repeated criminal activity and health and safety violations, is being determined to be unsafe for human habitation.

The building at 341 Clinton Street, that has been connected with two shootings in the past four months and repeated complaints about loud noise and other issues, is under condemnation notice by the City of Binghamton.

The building has no heat, hot water or natural gas service.

Mayor Richard David says the condemnation action is part of the City’s new Environmental Policing Task Force.

A hearing date for the condemnation notice is set for Monday, March 21.
