A new clean energy building is open in Binghamton.

The Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Partnership have announced the opening of the Southern Tier Clean Energy Incubator at the Koffman building on Hawley Street.

The new facility will provide space and technical support for businesses using clean technologies.  The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA)-funded incubator currently has nine clients, including winners of the 76West Clean Energy Competition.

The Southern Tier Clean Energy Incubator is looking to add on and 76West with NYSERDA are accepting applications for a third round competition through April 16.

The competition is providing $10 million in awards and $10 million for business support, marking and administration.
