Cincinnatus Go-Kart Driver Charged With DWI

A Cortland County man is accused of driving an unregistered go-kart on a public road in Cincinnatus while he was allegedly intoxicated.

New York State Police say 34 year old Brian Fairweather of Cincinnatus was arrested at around 6 p.m. August 11 after he was seen driving the go-kart on State Route 26.

Authorities say Fairweather was charged with drunk driving and ticketed for several vehicle and traffic law violations.

Investigators say they found Fairweather had a suspended driver’s license and had an open can of beer in the go-kart.

He was sent to the Cortland County Jail on $500 bail.
