The annual Boscov's Downtown Binghamton Christmas Parade drew several thousand people this afternoon in weather that more resembled May than mid-November. With sunny skies and pleasant temperatures dozens of groups and organizations marched through Binghamton on Main and Court Streets past host sponsor Boscov's to officially usher in the Christmas shopping season.

From parents with infants to senior citizens parade observers enjoyed temperatures in the upper 40's as they cheered the various parade participants.  Held annually, the parade through Downtown Binghamton brings a festive spirit and a chance for everyone to feel the fun and excitement of the holiday season.

There were bands and groups singing Christmas songs and of course the biggest reaction came when Santa came by on the parade route. Seeing Santa was a reminder to those on hand that Christmas is just five weeks away.
