Officials with the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse are still tallying the totals from the 32nd Annual CHOW Hunger Walk at the Binghamton University campus, but say it appears more walkers turned out than last year despite windy and chilly conditions.

Along with money raised in pledges and donations many walkers brought non-perishable food items to load onto the Broome Bounty truck.  Walkers also got to see the new CHOW School Bus on display near the start and finish line of the walk.

Food and money donations go to help CHOW provide over one million meals yearly to needy individuals and families in our community.  People of all ages participated with area churches and congregations having many walkers and a large number of Binghamton University workers and students who walked or volunteered to assist with traffic control and clean-up.  Sodexo provided food and refreshments for walkers and volunteers at the conclusion of the walk.
