Cortland County Sheriff’s Officials say a missing seven year old has been found and returned to his parents.

Authorities say the boy was playing hide and seek with a friend August 6 at 6:52 p.m. and became lost in a 75 acre corn field next to the Tioughnioga River.

Cortland Sheriff’s Deputies along with crews from the Homer Fire Department and Cortland County Search and Rescue Team were involved in the search. 

The boy was located uninjured and evaluated by emergency medical personnel the turned over to his parents.
