Cherishing Mild Temperatures While We Can

Walkers and runners are enjoying the remnants of a beautiful autumn.  The past few days places like the Vestal Rail Trail and Otsiningo Park have been busy with people enjoying mild temperatures...something that is changing with snow showers sighted in Susquehanna, Pa. this morning and more possible around the area overnight and tomorrow.

The Vestal Rail Trail has had thousands of visitors throughout the summer and fall months. The foliage is still magnificent although past its peak.  Not only is the scenery beautiful along the trail but hills in the distance have offered a scenic background for those out for some exercise.

Coming up on Sunday, November 3rd, there will be a Coal House 5K Veteran Appreciation Run/Walk.  The event begins at 1 P.M.  Proceeds from the race will benefit the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group.For information on the event the email address is vestalcoalhouse@stny.rr.com.
