Chenango Woman Accused of Smashing Windows

A 41-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly smashed the windows on a parked car in Chenango County.

Authorities say Danielle Pettit of Bainbridge was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.

According to state police, Pettit was arrested Tuesday afternoon. Troopers had been called to investigate a report of damage to a vehicle on Kelly Road in the Town of Bainbridge.

Officials say Pettit is suspected of smashing windows on the parked car and then fleeing.

The woman was arraigned in Afton town court and sent to Chenango County Jail on $5,000 bail.
