The Chenango Forks Blue Devils Football Team used stifling defense to shutout the Maine-Endwell Spartans 15-0 to win Section 4's Class B Championship on Saturday afternoon at Union-Endicott's Ty Cobb Stadium.  The win enables Chenango Forks to advance to meet Skaneateles on the road next weekend in a state quarterfinal game.

The Blue Devils scored the only points in the first half on a Jake Topa to Evan Brown four-yard touchdown pass in the closing seconds of the first half and with Topa's carry off the right side for the two-point conversion the Blue Devils were up 8-0.

Nobody could score in the third quarter and with only 2:24 left in the game Matt McDonald carried in from 15 yards out to make it 14-0 Forks.  The PAT was booted through by Ryan Joseph to make it 15-0.  The Forks came through bar the door the rest of the way and clinch their seventh straight Section 4 football championship.

The Spartans close out their season with an 8-2 record while the winning Blue Devils are 10-0. Defense was key for both sides in particular for Chenango Forks.  It was a game of super talented athletes orchestrated by excellent coaching from Forks' coach Dave Hogan and Spartans' coach Matt Gallagher.
