Chenango County Sheriff’s Find Heroin in a Sherburne Man’s Car

A Sherburne man is facing drug charges after Chenango County Sheriff’s officials say a search of a vehicle parked at the Big M in the Village at around 5 p.m. April 8 turned up what was described as a substantial amount of heroin as well as cash.

31 year old Dustin Norris is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally using drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.

Authorities say they found the drugs close to two children in the vehicle.  Needles, packaging materials and paraphernalia were also found at Norris’ South Maine Street home.

Norris was sent to the Chenango County Jail on $50,000 bail.
