Authorities say Donald Wilber of Mount Upton was arrested Sunday.

According to state police, troopers were called to investigate a fight involving a weapon outside a home on Church Street in the Town of Bainbridge.

Police determined Wilber had been following a vehicle occupied by a woman who had an order of protection against him.

Wilber is said to have approached the vehicle when it stopped. Investigators say when the woman would not get out of the vehicle, Wilber struck the window and door several times with a baseball bat.

Police say the woman and the driver sustained lacerations to their heads from the broken glass.

Wilber was charged with assault and criminal contempt. He also was charged with criminal mischief and menacing.

Wilber was arraigned in Guilford town court and sent to Chenango County Jail on $10,000 bail.
