An AMBER Alert issued at 6:30 p.m. June 12 for a report of an abducted child is no longer in effect according to the New York AMBER Alert website.

The New York State Police had reported one and a half year old boy was abducted by his non-custodial parent: Henry Kellam at 6:30 p.m. June 11 near Canal Street in Oxford.

Troopers said Kellam, who had a violent history, was armed with a handgun and was a fugitive from Texas.

The AMBER alert was cancelled, without explanation, less than two hours after it was activated, at 8:14 p.m.
