Chenango Bridge House Fire Investigated

Officials are investigating the cause of a fire at a home in Chenango Bridge that resulted in what appeared to be serious damage to at least one side of the structure.

The blaze on Newman Avenue was called in shortly after 5 p.m. November 7 and was reported out less than an hour later.  Firefighters from Chenango Bridge, Town of Chenango, Harpursville and Hillcrest left the scene about two and a half hours later.

A person and two dogs were in the house.  The resident is said to be hospitalized.

None of the firefighters was hurt.
