A man on the run from authorities for an incident in Chemung County two weeks ago is in custody after being found hiding in Broome County.

33 year old Robert Rouille was wanted in connection with a break-in at a home in Southport, near Elmira, August 14 in which the occupants were attacked and robbed.

Rouille had been considered armed and dangerous.

New York State Police say they followed up on leads developed by the troopers stationed in Painted Post to identify locations in Broome County where the futitive may be hiding.

Roullie was found in a trailer on Riverview Lane in the Town of Chenango August 27 with the assistance of the Broome County Sheriff's office.

He was taken into custody following a brief standoff.  Troopers say Rouille was not armed at the time of his arrest.

Rouille was turned over to the New York State Police from Horseheads.
