Authorities say charges are now being filed against a Bradford County, Pennsylvania man following a head-on crash that left another driver dead last month.

Pennsylvania State Police say 69 year old Richard Leighton of Towanda reportedly pulled into the path of a car driven by 66 year old Rosemary Manuel of Dushore on route 220 shortly after 4:30 p.m. on March 13th, failing to yield while making a left turn at the intersection of Brocktown Road in Monroe Township.

Manuel was pronounced dead at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre while Leighton was treated at the hospital for injuries.

Officials say Leighton is charged with homicide by motor vehicle while driving under the influence, DUI, failure to yield, careless and reckless driving.
