The Southern Tier Cat Fanciers Association 22nd All Breed Cat Show April 20 & 21 at the Broome Community College Ice Center benefitted more than just a few cat lovers.

Hundred of participants, officials, vendors and spectators passed through the doors of the ice center for the weekend. But show organizer, Ramona Schuba, says the local economy also came out a winner as the vendors and exhibitors, who came from as far away as Canada, the Carolinas and some western states, stayed in local hotels, ate at local restaurants and made purchases at Broome County stores.

This was the first time in many years that the show was held over two days.
