Cats are fussy, so you can bake a little less for softer treats (must be refrigerated) or longer for crunchy treats that can be stored outside of the refrigerator.

Tuna Tabby Treats (Dogs love them too)  Prep. time about an hour due to bake time.

1 C. cooked brown rice

1 can tuna in oil

1 egg

Pre-heat oven to 325.  Drain the tuna and spoon into a food processor along with the cooled rice and egg.  Pulse until the ingredients are well blended.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spoon the tuna mixture onto the center of the tray.  Wet your fingers to avoid sticking. Flatten and spread the mixture until it’s about a quarter inch thick.

Bake about 40 minutes until set and starting to brown around the edges.  Cut the treats into ½ inch squares with a pizza wheel.  If your cat likes soft treats, you’re done. If more crispy treats that can be stored without refrigeration are desired, return to the oven for about another 5 minutes. Turn the oven off and leave the treats in until the oven is cool.
