Bearcats Take Navy to the Closing Second

In a back and forth game against Navy at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut the Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team dropped a 70-68 decision.  Navy led 32-31 at the half.  BU battled back in the early going of the second half and took a lead of 11 points before Navy fought back,

Sparked by the hot shooting of  guard Brandon Venturini, who topped all scorers with 26 points, the  Midshipmen tied the game and then took the lead back in the closing 30 seconds of the contest

Maine Endwell Moves on to Class B Finals

Maine Endwell Spartans are moving on to the championship round Sunday for the Class B championship in Syracuse after defeating Cheektowaga Warriors 54-28 November 23.

Cheektowaga had little opportunity for practice in the week leading into the match against the undefeated Spartans given seven feet of snow falling on the Buffalo area but sports analysts said, given the record of the Maine Endwell program, it was doubt the ultimate outcome would have been different
