Bearcats KO’d By Fordham in NCAA Softball Tournament

The Binghamton Bearcats were knocked out of the NCAA Softball Tournament Saturday as the Fordham Rams rolled to an 8-0 five-inning mercy-rule victory in Harrisonburg, Va.  That defeat coupled with a 9-1 loss to James Madison on Friday ends Binghamton's post-season one week after the Bearcats won their first ever America East title.

B-Mets Drop Shutout Decision in Series Finale

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats handed the Binghamton Mets their first shutout loss of the season Sunday in a 5-0 decision.  The teams split the four-game series at NYSEG Stadium.  After Seth Lugo threw seven shutout innings Chase Huchingson battled control issues and walked four Fisher Cats which led to all five of their runs.

The Binghamton Mets host the New Hampshire Fisher Cats through the weekend and are, for now so-so hosts.  In the series opener May 14 the Fisher Cats edged Binghamton 2-1 but the B-Mets answered back May 15 with a walk-off 9-8 win May 15
