Binghamton Man Arrested in Hotel Drug Bust

A Binghamton man is accused of selling drugs out of a room at a hotel near Roberson Museum that has been known by numerous names over the past few years.

The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force raided a room at the Comfortel, formerly the Ramada Inn and Carousel Inn on Front Street June 1 and say they recovered 101 bags of heroin and cash

Broome Collects Hundreds of Pounds of Expired Drugs

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office reports over 800 pounds of expired and unwanted medications have been collected and safely disposed of between last October and March.

The department also partnered with the Broome County Office for Aging in April and May to visit senior centers and collected an additional 800 pounds of drugs for disposal

Loose Tire in Virgil Leads to DWI Arrest

A Cortland man is charged with aggravated drunk driving after his vehicle damaged by a tire that came off another vehicle traveling on Route 215 in the Town of Virgil at 6:19 p.m. May 27.

Tips from the public have resulted in the arrest of a man believed to have stolen proceeds from a Mother’s Day Fundraiser at the Candor Emergency Medical Services building.

An Endicott man is accused of making methamphetamine in his Oak Hill Avenue home.

The New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) searched the second floor apartment of 29 year old Matthew Morrissey May 29 and say they found 40 expended 'one-pot' methamphetamine labs, 3 ounces of suspected meth oil, meth smoking paraphernalia and a pill bottle containing what is believed to be methamphetamine residue
