Broome County’s String of Robberies Continues.

 

Broome County Sheriff’s investigators say they believe a knife-point robbery of a Hillcrest gas station December 12 is linked to similar robberies over the past few weeks in Binghamton, Johnson City and Hillcrest.

A Johnson City Man is Charged in Thefts From Hillcrest RV Center

 

Broome County Sheriff’s Detectives say a Johnson City man is suspected of stealing several items and money from the Hillcrest RV Center. 

Investigators say 40 year old Richard Bolt was an employee of the Town of Fenton business when cash and parts were stolen on three separate occasions.

Man Indicted For Binghamton Murder

 

A Broome County man is under a murder indictment for the killing of a Binghamton man during an attempted robbery October 4th on Mather Street, Binghamton. 

21 year old Trevis Johnson, who lists no permanent address,  has pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted robbery.

Suspect Sought in Broome County Robberies

 

Officials in Broome County are trying to zero in on suspects in a string of knifepoint robberies lately that have been reported at convenience stores and even a few Chinese restaurants. 

City of Binghamton are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects in over a half dozen robberies just in the City over the past several weeks.

Chenango County Caregiver Accused of Stealing From Client

 

New York State Police are accusing a Chenango County woman of taking advantage of her disabled client. 

Authorities say Penny Nober of Guilford is charged with eight counts of forgery and one count of endangering the welfare of an incompetent or disabled person.

Binghamton Man Accused of Sex Abuse

 

A Binghamton man is being charged with felony sexual abuse for allegedly having sexual contact with a girl under the age of 16 over several years. 

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say 47 year old Roy Rogers was arrested December 10 in the Town of Dickinson and released after posting $1,000.

Eastman School of Music Professor Killed in Wrong-Way Crash

 

A Broome County man is accused of driving drunk in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 490 in Monroe County over the weekend that left a professor at the Eastman School of Music dead.

37 year old Thomas Rome of Kirkwood is hospitalized in guarded condition after he crashed into another vehicle early Saturday morning leaving 69 year old Tatiana Tchekina dead and her husband, 71 year old Oleh Krysa with minor injuries.

Otsego County Man Found Sleeping Behind the Wheel

 

A Unadilla man is charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .20% and possessing marijuana. 

New York State Police say they found 31 year old Ian Ward asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle with the engine running on December 7th with the vehicle stopped in the middle of Interstate 88 in Oneonta.

A Town of Chenango couple is accused of having illegal drugs in their home on Castle Creek Road. 

34 year old Tiawanna Willard is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
