Albany Topples Bearcats at SEFCU Arena

The Albany Great Danes upped their America East record to 11-1  with a 75-53 victory over the Binghamton Bearcats in women's basketball at the SEFCU Arena in Albany.  The win keeps the Great Danes in first place. They are battling Maine for first place in the conference. The Black Bears are 9-1.   Binghamton falls to 2-10.

New York State Police are looking for a man who used a stolen credit card to buy things at an Endwell convenience store.

Troopers say the white man, in his 40s used the card on four different dates in November and December at the Kwik Fill on East Main Street and is wanted for grand larceny

Pennsylvania State Police are looking for information about the death of a man whose body was found February 10 in Great Bend Township.

Authorities say the body of a white male was found on the side of Harmony Road around mid-day, approximately three miles from State Route 11

Deadline Extended for Firefighter Association Tuition Reimbursement

The Firefighters Association of the State of New York is expanding the deadline for its tuition reimbursement program.

The new filing deadline is February 20.

New York college students who haven’t already achieved a college degree or have not taken 80 or more college credits, can apply to get up to 100% tuition reimbursement in exchange for maintaining good grades and fulfilling service requirements at one of New York’s volunteer fire companies
