Car Crashes Into Johnson City Wegmans

Johnson City Police are investigating what caused a car to careen into the wall of Wegmans Supermarket December 14.

Authorities say a Hyundai Accent smashed into four parked cars before hitting the wall of the store at around 11a.m.

Two occupants of the car were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Officials say its suspected the driver may have suffered a medical issue.

No shoppers were injured in the crash.

Several years ago, a Sport Utility Vehicle plowed through the west entrance doors and turned right into the store, coming to a stop in the produce department. That driver was arrested for DWI.
