Candor Woman Accused of Stealing Credit Card

A Candor woman is accused of stealing her guest’s credit card out of the woman’s purse while the victim was visiting her home on County Route 96.

New York State Police say 32 year old Lynette Halstead is accused of using the stolen card to make three unauthorized purchases worth under $100 total before sneaking the card back into the owner’s purse.

Halstead is charged with felony grand larceny.  She was sent to the Tioga County Jail on $5,000 bail.
