Candor Highway Dept. Damaged by Fire

Officials are looking into the cause of a fire that damaged the Highway Department Building in the Town of Candor at around 4:45 p.m. February 16.

Officials say some highway equipment was heavily damaged.

There were no injuries.

Witnesses reported seeing heavy smoke coming from all sides of the building and authorities say they believed most of the fire was centered on the right side of the building.

The town reportedly lost two of its snow plow trucks but a loader and dump truck were saved.
