Calvin Harris has been found guilty of harassment after a trial in the Village of Owego.

The 55-year-old Town of Spencer resident was charged following a reported confrontation with a man following a community college history class in which his daughter Cayla was a student.

Acting village justice Lynn Craig issued a statement indicating she had convicted Harris of the second-degree harassment count. Sentencing has been scheduled for September 7.

Craig heard testimony from several witnesses in the non-jury trial on August 11.

Harris in May was acquitted of murder in connection with the 2001 disappearance of his estranged wife, Michele.

The harassment case stemmed from a March 2015 incident during which Harris showed up outside a Tioga County government office building where his daughter had attended a SUNY Broome class.

Thomas Zikuski, who was in the class with Cayla Harris, had remarked during a discussion that he expected her father would be acquitted in his fourth murder trial.

Zikuski - who is a brother of Binghamton Police Chief Joseph Zikuski - said he had not known Cayla's father was Calvin Harris.

Zikuski testified Harris was "livid" when he encountered him as he left the building where the class had been held. He said Harris "just flipped out on me" and yelled profanities about what had occurred during the classroom discussion.

Zikuski said Harris warned him: "You're going to get it, you'll see." Zikuski said he considered that to be a threat.

Harris did not take the stand during the trial. He had no comment for WNBF News after the testimony concluded.

Tioga County assistant district attorney Cheryl Mancini, who prosecuted the case, did not return calls seeking comment on the verdict Monday afternoon.

John Perticone, the attorney who represented Harris during the trial, was away from his Vestal office and not available to discuss the judge's decision.
