The Binghamton Senators and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will clash in the opening round of the Calder Cup playoffs.  The best-of-five series begins Friday night when Binghamton hosts Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at 7:05.  It is the second consecutive season the two teams have met in the opening round of the playoffs.  Last year the Penguins knocked out the B-Sens with three one-goal victories.

In eight regular season meetings with the Pens Binghamton posted a record of 5-3-0-0.  Binghamton won all four meetings at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.  Five of the eight games during the regular campaign were decided by one goal.

Game two between Binghamton and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton will be played Saturday night at 7:05 in Binghamton.  Then the series moves to the Pens' home ice for game three Wednesday, April 30 and Friday May1.  If a game five is needed it will be back in Binghamton on Monday, May 5.
