Bob Joseph/WNBF News [March 5, 2014][/caption]The latest trial of a former Tioga County businessman accused of killing his wife in 2001 has been pushed back.

The third trial for 53 year old Calvin Harris in the disappearance of his wife, Michele was supposed to start in Schoharie County September 15 but has been moved to January 7 following reported concerns about trial readiness on the part of the defense.

Harris was first convicted in 2007 but the appearance of a new witness after the verdict resulted in a ruling for another trial.

A second conviction was handed down in 2009 and overturned by the New York State Court of Appeals over apparent trial errors.

The latest trial was moved out of Tioga County since it was determined the Harris case was too well-known locally.

Michele was last seen September 11, 2001. In spite of extensive searches, no body or murder weapon has been found.
