Buddy and Ballwinkle Retire Today

It's been a great run !  They have posed for thousands of photos, signed autographs all over the area and made hundreds of appearances to promote the Binghamton Mets.  Now,  it's down to one more show.  The legendary mascots for the Binghamton Mets work their last game today when Binghamton hosts Erie at 1:05 PM.

Although the Eastern League's Binghamton entry stays put the nickname will change.

The B-Mets have been holding a "Name the Team" contest and with a new nickname will come a new mascot or mascots.  The team's new nickname will be announced in October.

Buddy and Ballwinkle will be honored today for their many years of service to Binghamton Mets Baseball.  Fans are invited to attend today's game and cheer on Buddy and Ballwinkle one last time.
