The Binghamton Bearcats women's soccer team downed the visiting Maine Black Bears 2-1 at the Bearcats Sports complex this afternoon (Sunday).  It was their first America East win this season and puts their conference record at 1-4.  The Black Bears fall to 2-3 in conference play and 6-6 overall.

Michele Galvin played a key role in the win for the Bearcats.  She notched the game-winning goal with less than 20 minutes to play in the contest.  She also earned an assist by setting up Rachel Parsons with BU's first goal in the 38th minute of the first half.

The Bearcats outshot the Black Bears 15-8.  Binghamton is idle until next Sunday when the Bearcats host UMass Lowell at 1:00 PM on Senior Day.
