BU Women Visit Yale

The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team visits New Haven, Connecticut today (Sunday) for a 2:00 PM game against the Yale Bulldogs (air at 1:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  It is the season opener for Yale.  The Bearcats are 0-1 after dropping a 67-57 decision to Bucknell on Friday evening at the Events Center.

Imani Watkins led all scorers with 26 points in the opener.  Kai Moon fired in 13 points in her first game as a Bearcat.

Binghamton has only met Yale on the hardwood once.  That meeting was at Yale in 2001 and the Bearcats won 75-68.  BU was selected in the America East preseason poll to finish fourth in the conference.  Yale was predicted for a sixth place finish in the Ivy League preseason voting.

The Bearcats stay on the road for two more games.  They travel to Penn on Wednesday night and then to Providence next Saturday afternoon.
