Linda Cimino's Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team upped their America East record to 2-0 today (Saturday) with a 58-48 road win at UMass Lowell.  It is the first time BU opens at 2-0 in America East play in five seasons.

Following a home conference opening night win over UMBC the Bearcats hit the road to record the win over the River Hawks.

The game was deadlocked at 7-7 at the end of the first period but the Bearcats took control from there.

Imani Watkins paced the Bearcat attack with 19 points including four three-point buckets.  Jasmine Sina notched a pair of triples and finished with 12 points.  Binghamton's premier defender Alyssa James scored five points, had nine rebounds and picked up three steals.

The Bearcats hit the road again on Wednesday night when they travel to Vermont to face the Catamounts.  Airtime is set for 6:45 on CBS Sports Radio 1360 AM WYOS.
