The Binghamton University women's basketball team defeated the UMass Lowell River Hawks 69-54 at the Events Center on Saturday afternoon.  With the win the Bearcats upped their record to 6-4 in America East and 11-12 overall.  The River Hawks fall to 3-20 overall and remain winless in the conference at 0-10.

Iamani Watkins led the way with 20 points and nine rebounds for the Bearcats.  Alyssa James followed with 14 points and 11 rebounds.  The victory puts the Bearcats into a third-place tie with UMBC in conference standings.

The Bearcats were perfect at the free throw line going nine for nine.  It is the fourth time in school history that a Binghamton team has not missed a free throw in a game.

The Bearcats remain home for a Monday night game against the Vermont Catamounts at 7 PM.  Vermont is 4-6 in conference play and 7-15 overall.  They are in seventh place in America East.  Air time is set for 6:45 on CBS Sports Radio 1360 AM WYOS.
