The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team hosts the best team in America East this afternoon at the Events Center in a special Martin Luther King, Jr.Day contest scheduled for a 2:00 start (air at 1:45 on ESPN 1360 AM).  The Great Danes are the four-time defending America East champions and are 13-3 overall and 4-0 in America East this season.

The Bearcats are 7-9 overall and 2-1 in conference action.  In Binghamton's last game the Bearcats topped Hartford in West Hartford 53-47.  Imani Watkins scored 19 points in that contest.  Alyssa James continues to sparkle for the Bearcats.  She is third in scoring in America East averaging 16.9 points per game and fourth in rebounding grabbing 8.8 per game.

Shereesha Richards is Albany's big gun.  She is a two-time America East Player of the Year and is on track for her third straight honor.  Richards is averaging 24.6 points per game and 8.9 rebounds per contest.
