The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team is in action tonight (Saturday) when they meet the Hartford Hawks in a quarterfinal round playoff game in Portland, Maine.  The Bearcats are the third seed while the Hawks come in as a sixth seed.  The teams split the two meetings in the regular season with Binghamton winning at the Events Center 64-59 and Hartford topping BU 61-45 last Sunday in West Hartford in both teams regular season finale.

The teams have met four times in the postseason with the Hawks holding a 3-1 edge.  The third seed is the highest seed for Binghamton since the 2010-11 campaign.

The Bearcats are hopeful that standout sophomore point guard Kai Moon will be able to return to action.  Moon suffered an ankle injury against Albany and did not play in the Bearcats loss to Hartford last week.  With Moon out BU ended up with 26 turnovers against the Great Danes.

Airtime tonight is approximately 8 PM depending on when the Albany versus Vermont game which began at 6 PM concludes.  If the Bearcats win versus Hartford they advance to the semifinals on Sunday at 4:15 PM.
