The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team traveled to New York City to meet the Columbia Lions.  The Bearcats are 3-5 while the Lions are 5-3.

The Bearcats topped the Colgate Raiders December 7 at the Events Center by a final score of 63-56.  In that game Imani Watkins scored a game-high 23 points.  Alyssa James registered a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds.  Kim Albrecht also hit double figures with a 14 point game.

The Lions lost a pair of games at the Arizona State Tournament over the weekend.  They fell 88-75 to Toledo and dropped a 70-49 decision to the host team...the Sun Devils.

Camille Zimmerman leads the Lions with 17.5 points per game to go along with 9.8 rebounds per outing.  In four previous meetings the Lions hold a 3-1 advantage.  Binghamton won for the only time in 2001...a 78-34 victory.
