The Binghamton Bearcats men's soccer team was in Burlington, Vermont for the November 15 America East Championship game against the Catamounts.

The Bearcats went into the post-season as a fifth-seed and have knocked off Stony Brook and Albany on the round to advance to the championship round.  Vermont defeated UMBC 2-1 in overtime on Wednesday night to put them into the finals. It is the first championship appearance for the Bearcats since 2008.  Graduate student midfielder Pascal Trappe leads the Bearcats with six goals and 13 points.

Binghamton featured standout goalkeeper Robert Moewes who was named First-Team All America East and the America East Goalkeeper of the Year. The Catamounts are in the championship game for the first time since 2007.  Brian Wright was their top gun with nine goals and 25 total points. The two teams met at Vermont on October 3rd when the Bearcats won 2-1.  The teams have met for the America East title twice before with each team winning once.
