The Binghamton Bearcats men's lacrosse team meets the Albany Great Danes tomorrow (Saturday) at noon for the America East Championship.  The game will be played at Casey Stadium at the University of Albany and televised nationally on ESPNU.

Albany is the conference's regular season champion and number one seed thus the Great Danes host the event.  Binghamton advanced to the championship game by winning its semifinal game over UMBC 9-4.  The Great Danes topped Stony Brook in their semifinal contest by a final score of 19-6.  In their regular season match-up at the Bearcats Sports Complex the Great Danes downed the Bearcats 10-4. Overall the Great Danes are 13-2 while the Bearcats are 11-4.

In a 2004 championship meeting the Great Danes defeated the Bearcats 10-4 at Binghamton. In the Bearcats win over UMBC in their semifinal game Maine-Endwell grad and goalkeeper Tanner Cosens made nine saves.

Tom Moore and Thomas McAndrew each scored a pair of goals for the Bearcats.  The winner of the America East championship receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
