The Binghamton Bearcats downed the UMass Lowell River Hawks in men's basketball on Thursday night with an 81-66 victory.  The Bearcats were up at the half 41-29 and outscored the home team 40-37 in the second half to earn just their second win in nine outings at UMass Lowell.

The Bearcats shot 55 percent from the field and made 10 of 22 three-point attempts to key the win.  Binghamton led for over 36 minutes in the game.

BU had four players score in double figures.  Sam Sessoms scored 21 points to lead Binghamton's offense.  Caleb Stewart notched 18 points and J.C. Show added 17 points for BU.  UMass Lowell's Christian Lutete had a game-high 22 points.

The win puts Binghamton's America East record at 4-8 while the River Hawks fall to 6-7.  The Bearcats return home to host the Vermont Catamounts Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at the Events Center.
