Both teams are coming off of losses.  The Retrievers fell at Albany 83-69 while the Bearcats dropped a 79-71 contest to UMass Lowell at the Events Center.

A key part of Wednesday night's game could prove to be three-point shooting.  UMBC is second in America East hitting 40 percent of their three point attempts while the Bearcats are at the bottom of the pack in defending against the three-point shot giving up over 40 percent of opponents three-point attempts.  The Retrievers have taken the most three-point shots putting up 603 treys and making 241 of them.  BU is fourth in the conference in three-point shooting taking 452 shots and converting 165 of them.

Another key in the Wednesday game could be at the free throw line.  The Bearcats are eighth in America East making 66 percent of their free throws.  UMBC is also in at 66 percent from the charity stripe.

Jairus Lyles leads America East in scoring averaging 20.6 points per game.  Binghamton's J.C. Show ranks eighth in America East scoring averaging 15.1 points per game.  Show had a game high 26 points against UMass Lowell on Sunday.
