The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team looks for its second conference victory Wednesday, January 27.  The UMBC Retrievers visit with an identical 1-5 America East record.  The Bearcats got their win by defeating UMass Lowell Sunday 64-57.  The lone conference win for UMBC was an 89-76  home decision over Maine.

UMBC has their top gun from two seasons ago back in the llneup.  America East's Rookie of the Year Rodney Elliott sat out last year with an injury.  Since his return he is averaging 13.9 points and 3.8 assists.

The Bearcats are led by sophomore Willie Rodriguez who is averaging 14.2 points per game.  Marlon Beck has ignited his offense.  Beck has scored 13 three-point buckets in his last four games and is hitting at a 37 percent clip from beyond the arc.  No other Bearcat is over 30 percent from long range.

Binghamton leads the series with UMBC by a 15-12 count.  The Bearcats have won ten of the last 16 meetings.
